Technical AMSOIL FAQs
With the type E Fork Oil you will get a very hard suspension. Because their oil is not synthetic, it will shear down to lighter/lower vyscocity quickly. AMSOIL Shock Therapy Medium #10 is a high quality synthetic lubricant and will handle extreme temperatures very well. It also provides better corrosion protection and last longer. Another benefit would be that it has seal conditioner in to prolong seal life.
DOMINATOR® Synthetic 2-Stroke Racing Oil doesn't have the cleaning additive package that the INTERCEPTOR® has. Racers typically tear their engines down therefore they don't require the cleaning package that INTERCEPTOR® has that would be required for the power valves
Length. When in doubt, go with the EA15K12
We recommend AMSOIL's 10W-30 Synthetic Small Engine Oil, product code ASE. It was originally developed as a SAE 30 oil. Because of its excellent flow properties, and its ability to flow well enough, it was able to class as a 10W-30 as well.
Absolutely! AMSOIL oil filters will meet the OEM specifications, and will match the specification patent. In fact, not only do they meet/match, they exceed the standard. Flow rate is always regulated by the oil pump.
You sure can. It will not hurt or cause any damage. However, you are not going to receive the same rust and corrosion protection that is required by the TCW-3 specification.
We still recommend that you use HP Marine Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil (product code HPM) in your 2 stroke Evinrude® E-TEC™ boats and PWCs.
Japanese Automotive Standards Organization (JASO), is an organization that establishes automotive standards in Japan. It established a classification system for motorcycle oils
HP Marine® Synthetic 2-Stroke Oil (product code HPM) can be used in two-stroke marine applications that specify TC W3, including those made by: Johnson/Evinrude*, FICHT*, E-TEC*, Mercury* EFI & Optimax*, Yamaha*, Nissan*, Tohatsu* TLDI*, Suzuki*, Mariner*, Force*. Use as injection oil or 50:1 premix(2.6 oz. per U.S. gallon of gas). This includes XD30, XD50, and XD100.
We most certainly do! AMSOIL Signature Series Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid and AMSOIL OE Multi-Vehicle Synthetic Automatic Transmission Fluid will exceed the AutoTrak II specification
Multi-Displacement System (MDS) is a motor vehicle engine that is flexible in it’s displacement (8 cylinders to 4) to preserve fuel economy. Because of this technology it causes more oil flow, hence the oil filter works harder. Because AMSOIL filters are 99% efficient at 20 microns, they fill up quicker and cause the filter to go into bypass mode. This could cause low oil pressure in the engine. Because of this AMSOIL does not recommend extended drain intervals on some models of engines.
Vehicle Maintenance FAQs
Synthetic motor oil is a chemically engineered lubricant. Synthetic motor oils are chemically modified petroleum components that provide optimal fuel efficiency, superior friction-reduction, and can withstand extreme temperatures. AMSOIL synthetic lubricants outperform any and all conventional lubricants.
Conventional motor oil is refined from crude oil and has a higher potential for containing contaminants that can result in engine sludge buildup. Synthetic motor oil is a chemically modified lubricant and is free of all possible contaminants – resulting in superior performance.
For any motorized vehicle that has been stored over long periods of time, the goal is to get it up and running as smoothly as possible. However, gasoline starts to degrade in 30 days causing engine sludge that clogs fuel lines, injectors, and carburetors. A gasoline stabilizer inhibits the oxidation process of gasoline, extending storage time, and decreasing the cost of maintenance after long-term storage. Check out AMSOILs gasoline stabilizer here.
If you are planning on keeping your car in tip top shape, we suggest getting an oil change every 10,000km or once every 6 months. With modern advancements in vehicles, your car will often give you an alert of when you should get your oil changed. If you have a slightly older vehicle, you can either stick to the intervals, or make reference to your owner’s manual.
